MAKAI
The Moi’s have always lived in Oahu. They have always owned the busiest boat and tackle shop on the island, in a sleepy beach town where everyone knows who you are, especially if your family is one of the most talked about. After a recent family tragedy, Koma took over his father’s boat shop, forgetting about a life of freedom and fun, and focusing instead on being a father himself.
Luke Yang is new to this small town, and as a struggling business owner, seeks out sponsorship from the infamous Moi boat shop that everyone seems to know about. The shop has all the supplies he needs, and he should be content with that, but something about the shop owner interests him more than he’s willing to admit.
A friendly business relationship sparks between Koma and Luke, but a particularly sassy toddler brings the pair closer than anticipated. Suddenly, the pair finds themselves growing closer than business partners are supposed to be and things get personal. Both men have their own issues, but will they be able to overlook those and give in to the attraction between them? Or will they struggle to find a balance and let rough waters drift them apart?
